The Cairns Wildlife Dome offers guests a quality wildlife experience that promotes education, understanding of rainforest ecology, and above all, fun!

Situated on the roof of Cairns' iconic Reef Hotel Casino, the Cairns Wildlife Dome opened in 2003.

In 2005, the Dome was purchased by Pip and Charles Woodward. The Woodward family have locally owned and operated two major tourism operators in the region, Rainforestation Nature Park and Tropic Wings, since 1976 and 1981 respectively.

Soon after this, The Woodwards launched a new group name for the several companies they owned - The CaPTA Group, standing for Cairns and Port Trips & Attractions. CaPTA was launched at the Cairns Wildlife Dome that same year.
